Usage: Manufacturing hydrofluoric acid. Pure products can be used as catalysts for dehydration and dehydrogenation reactions. Metallurgical flux.
Property: White powder or cubic crystal. It emits light when heated. Dissolve in concentrated inorganic acids and decompose to release hydrogen fluoride, slightly soluble in dilute inorganic acids, almost insoluble in water. Relative density is 3.18. Melting point 1402 ℃. Boiling point 2500 ℃. Low toxicity, median lethal dose (rat, oral) 2775mg/kg.
